Hotel Becher helped set up private water taxi from and back to train station on arrival and departure. Our room was not ready the way I had requested (2 single beds) but the desk manager provided a complimentary glass of Prosecco while we waited for it to be prepared and then upgraded our room for us for the remainder of the stay. The breakfast room was cozy and had a tasty assortment of breakfast foods to help us start our day of exploring. The staff were all friendly and ready to help us with our plans for the day. We met a couple who have been there 3 times now and I can see why. While the hotel is in need of a facelift (I’m not sure of the exact age of the building), our room was clean and the beds were comfortable! (My understanding is that they will be doing renovations over the winter in preparation for next year.) The location was perfect for St. Mark’s Square and the Doge’s Palace as well as other sights. I would definitely consider staying at Hotel Becher again. I’ve given a rating of 9/10 or 4.5/5 only because it is an older establishment and in need of a little TLC.

Great location, easy to find from St Mark’s Square through streets filled with lovely and well lit shops, even at night, and close to lovely local restaurants. Staff are exceptional (will organize anything enthusiastically, from dinner to airport transfers) and are super responsive on WhatsApp, breakfast is v plentiful with a very good selection of juices, yoghurts, fruit, cakes, pancakes, cheeses and salamis, an English breakfast with proper bacon and sausages, teas, coffees etc. They have an elevator and rooms with a shower if you prefer it to a bath (let them know beforehand). We had a room on the ground floor overlooking the canal and it was nice seeing the gondolas and water taxis going past. They have a little terrace for breakfast and aperitivi in good weather and their own private jetty which is super convenient!

Everything was perfect. The staff were fantastic - special thanks to Elena, who helped us with recommendations and all our needs. We can’t say enough good things about our 7-night stay. The room was big enough for 2 adults and 2 teens. Spotlessly clean. Our room had 2 windows opening onto a canal with gondolas passing. Breakfast and coffee on the jetty was wonderful. My husband and I were in Venice for our honeymoon in 2006, and it was wonderful to bring the children now. This superb hotel made our holiday perfect! Only a few minutes walk to St Mark’s Square. Everything we needed was at hand. Elena booked us tickets for a wonderful Vivaldi concert. Every member of staff was lovely. We highly recommend this exceptional hotel.

We stayed at Hotell Blecher for a family weekend visit in Venice. The hotel is right in the middle of Venice so very well placed for visiting all major attractions by foot. In addition the hotell staff is very friendly and helpful which goes for all. To mention is Marco who helped us when we arrived late in the evening and Elena who booked our boat rides to and from the hotel. They use WhatsApp which makes the journey very easy and pleasant during the whole stay and actually even before we arrived. For us were the boat rides between the airport and the hotel perfect choice because you get a great view of Venice at the same time.

Incredible location, 5 minutes away from the St. Mark's Square. Very safe neighborhood and the hotel has a dock for taxi which in itself is enough for us to book it due to the convenience, although water bus stop is 5 minutes away so that is a great option too. Rooms are small, cozy and soundproof and if you get a room with a view of the water you will watch the gondoliers pass by all the time which is amazing! Staff is very nice, polite and helpful and the breakfast is small, but just what we needed before heading out to explore the Venice. We are looking forward to booking this hotel again in the future.
